Cheongho-dong
Legal dongs covered Cheongho-dongJoyang-dong
Uninhabited during the Joseon era. Incorporated into Docheon-myeon in 1914 and became part of Sokcho-ri 3-gu in 1942. Under North Korean control after liberation, it became Sokcho-ri 5-gu when the area was recovered, and refugees from Hamgyeong-do settled here, giving it the name 'Abai Village'. Renamed Cheongho-dong after Cheongchoho Lake when the dong system was introduced in 1966. Merged with the former Saemaeul area of Joyang-dong on 1998.10.17.
